Glossary Term

Inter-Rater Reliability

The degree to which different raters give consistent estimates of the same phenomenon.

Inter-rater reliability is agreement between independent raters observing the same behavior. While child self-report doesn’t use raters, ObsRO and classroom observations do.

Provide clear rubrics and examples to improve agreement, and consider training for teachers or staff contributing ratings.
